Southern California's "Cannonball Coltrane Project" joined David Basse in West LA to celebrate the release of Basse's newest disc "Uptown". Arthur Hamilton, whose songs have been performed by Dinah Washington, Harry Connick Jr., Barbara Streisand, Johnny Mathis, Ray Charles, and Ella Fitzgerald dropped by; as did Pulitzer prize winning journalist Michael Zielenziger. The pair shared a drink and a laugh with David Basse and Kenny Loggins. Loggins then took to the stage to sing the blues with Basse in a rousing encore.
